„We don’t make parties, we live them!“
The Volksgarten has nearly 180 years on history. The club is not only famous in the domestic music and dance scene, but also due to the “Evergreen Dancing” famous for being one of the most beautiful and traditional dance clubs of Vienna.
174 year ago, Johann Strauß and Richard Wagner performed on this stage, giving their musical talent to best. After the WW II Peter Böhm purchased the then destroyed bar and rebuilt it to the Volksgarten the top club of Vienna. Since then, World Class Musicians like Ella Fritzgerald, Horst Winder, Udo Jürgens and Joe Zawinul performed at the Volksgarten.
Dancing, music and parties – entertainment at Volksgarten has tradition. The wide-ranged weekly programme covers different music styles and therefore attracts different target groups. Hot scene parties at the club contrast the dignified Saturday dance evenings at the Evergreen, where diverse events are taking place during the week. This is not a problem: the different the events are, they all have one thing in common: the amazing ambience of the Volksgarten.
The typical design-mix in the style of the last centuries is ubiquitous and creates a flair, that supplements the Vienna culture. No wonder, that tourists as well as famous guests from Austria and abroad spend their time at the Volksgarten.
No domestic club has ever managed to remain so long popular in the publics’ interest.
